On This Day in British History: Starting Afresh for the New Year

When I started this blog at the beginning of this year, I wanted to bring regular posts about the events that happened on this day in British history. Then I just stopped.

No warning and no explanation.

Well, I'm not going to give excuses. Just know that life threw some curveballs as it always does. My business plans were put on hold but now I'm back. Oh, and the site that I posted a lot of my content closed down, so I couldn't even share old content I'd written. That site closing threw me off a little.

2019 for me is all about consistency and that includes bringing the British history posts on a regular basis.

This isn't going to be a daily blog. When it starts helping to pay the bills then I'll consider it but right now, it's more of a hobby than anything else. So, I'll bring posts two or three times a week. The idea is to bring the bigger events in Tudor and Stuart history first, but then I'll start branching out into other historical times.

Why Tudor and Stuart history?

Since this is a hobby blog, it makes more sense to focus on the parts of history that I know more about and enjoy the most. That's the Tudor and Stuart periods.

I've got a lot of content that I want to share and I will get started this week. On Saturday, it's the anniversary of Isobel Neville's death, so that's the first you can expect from me with my new plan of consistency.

I hope you get something out of this blog as much as I enjoy writing the posts. Don't forget to follow I Love British History on Facebook and the On This Day in History Pinterest board to stay up to date with everything that I post. You can also subscribe to this blog!

Here's to an informative and fun New Year for all you British history fans out there!
